On this 3-day trip to Tarangire and Ngorongoro crater, you will have an opportunity to see what the parks has to offer starting from the giant baobab trees to the huge number of largest African Elephants inside Tarangire as well as Ngorongoro crater which is a UNESCO world heritage site and the best place to witness the endangered black rhino.
- Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
- Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park (approximately 149 km (92.6 mi) & 2.5hrs drive)
- DAY 3:Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Upon arrival at the airport (Kilimanjaro or Arusha) you will be met by Wild Candle African Safaris’ representative and drive you to your accommodation in Arusha for an overnight stay waiting for your adventures to start on the following day.

Early morning after breakfast at your accommodation in Arusha, you will be picked up by your private driver guide and take you straight to Tarangire National Park which takes approximately 2 hours. Tarangire National Park is one of the largest parks in Tanzania and covers an area of 2,600 square kilometers. Tarangire National Park is most popular for its large elephant herds and giant baobab trees. It also has a mini-wildlife migration that takes place during the dry season which consists of about 250,000 animals entering the park. With more than 300 strong herds of elephants, visitors will find big groups of buffalo and healthy populations of lions and leopards. During the dry season, Tarangire has the highest concentration of mammals in the country. There are wild dogs and rare antelopes such as gerenuk, plus more than 550 species of birds to spot throughout the year. You will have picnic lunch boxes where you will have them inside the park in the afternoon. After lunch and further game viewing, you will drive straight to your accommodation in Karatu for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Early morning after breakfast at your accommodation, you will drive straight to Ngorongoro conservation area whereby you stop at the view point of Ngorongoro crater before you descend down the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera forming a spectacular bowl of about 265 square kilometres, with sides up to 600 metres deep and is home to approximately 30,000 mammals. The crater floor consists of a number of different habitats that include grassland, swamps, forests and Lakes filled by the Munge River. All these various environments attract wildlife to drink, wallow, graze, hide or climb. The crater offers breathtakingly beautiful scenery and is the best place in East Africa to see the ‘Big Five’ (elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo, lion and rarely leopard). Any safari in northern Tanzania should ideally include a visit to the Ngorongoro Crater. It is one of the most beautiful nature safari locations in the world and an extraordinary place to meet people from the Massai tribe. The Ngorongoro Crater offers excellent birding, with over 500 species. You will have packed picnic lunch boxes with you and after having lunch at the picnic site, you will proceed with a game drive until the late afternoon where you will ascend the crater and drive straight to Arusha where your adventures end with us.

Please if you would like to go ahead and book with us; we would request Payment upfront of 20% on booking and balance payment upon arrival prior to departure. Kindly note we have been enforced and request deposit payment as to facilitate and secure your accommodations reservations, which are subjected too, as the hotels/camps/Lodges will request the same.
I. Contract variations The contractual rates mentioned in this agreement are subject to change without prior notice; however, every effort will be made to maintain them. In the event of a change in Government Taxes or Levies affecting the rates mentioned herein, Wild Candle African Safaris reserves the right to pass on any increases to agent or a client.
II. Reservation Policy All confirmation for safari or any program should be notified to Wild Candle African Safaris in writing.
III. Payment Policy A deposit of 20% is required at the time of booking. The balance is due upon arrival, before commencement of the tour program. If the reservation is made within 30 days of departure the whole amount must be paid at the time Arrival Day in Cash.
IV. Cancellation Policy All cancellations must be received in writing. As all suppliers charge cancellation fees, they are in turn passed on to client/agent. Reservations that are cancelled, reduced in length of stay or reduced in number of occupancies are subject to cancellation and no-show fees. Following is the scale for cancellation charges:
•Between 60 and 30 days prior to arrival of the client.
o30% of the rates applicable per person/bed night will be charged. During High Season (Jun-Oct and Dec-Mar), the same will apply.
•Between 30 and 7 days prior to arrival of the client.
o50% of the rates applicable per person/bed night will be charged. During High Season (Jun-Oct and Dec-Mar), the same will apply.
•Between 07 days and 48hours prior to arrival of the client or in case of No Show.
o100% of the rates applicable per person/bed night will be charged.
•For any bookings that fall within the Easter/Christmas Supplement period.
oFull cancellation will be charged for all the bed nights cancelled.
•All Government Fees/ Taxes, i.e. Park fees, Cons. Fees, Service fee etc.
oOnce Paid are NON refundable.
•All reservations, cancellations and/or amendments must be made in writing to Wild Candle Adventure & Safari Tanzania Ltd.
Itinerary Changes Although every effort is made to adhere to schedules, it should be noted that the hoteliers in Tanzania might be obliged to occasionally change routes on safaris as dictated by changing conditions. Such conditions may be brought about by seasonal rainfall on Wild tracks, airfields and in game areas, by game migrations from one region to another, or airline or other booking problems, etc. This is beyond our control however Wild Candle Adventure & Safari Tanzania Ltd, will communicate with client/agent for such itinerary or accommodation changes, and any cost incurred, in such circumstances, will be passed on to client/agent
•We may have to reroute the itinerary or accommodate in similar lodges in case of non- availability.
•Prices for domestic flights, airport taxes or park fees may be changed without prior notice. This is beyond our control and any increase levied will be passed to you.
•In order to qualify for the low season rates tour must start and finish within the specified dates.
•If any safari starts in low season and ends in peak/high season, we have to pro rata the cost accordingly.
•Passengers should bring only soft-sided bags on safaris
• All the passengers must have Identification Card/Passport with them for internal flights
• Baggage on internal flights is strictly limited to 15kgs per person (including hand luggage).
• Any excess baggage will be charged by the airline at check-in.
• Passengers arriving to Tanzania may be asked to present a valid Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate.
• Advised and Compulsory to Make sure you arrange and HOLD Travel insurance before Arriving. Incase of any emergency i.e. flight Cancellations, Accident, Medical etc.
