Overview
This Sanya village is located in Western Kilimanjaro whereby there are suitable activities to do. Maasai “bomas” are sparsely scattered in Sa
nya, with a total population of no more than 2.000 people living in a huge area.
These maasai are still living the traditional way and are not used to the commercial relationship with tourists that is common in more visited areas. They are spectacularly dressed and follow all the traditional ceremonies. They are very friendly and we have been able to developed a privileged relationship with them. This is a Community Conservation Project benefiting the maasai of Sanya.
Activities may also include game drives, walking safaris escorted by Maasai warriors, interaction with the local maasai including participation in ceremonies if available.
- Day 1: SANYA VILLAGE CULTURAL TOUR
You will depart from you accommodation very early in the morning sunrise and head for Sanya village to visit the Maasai village community and get a cultural experience on their way of life and also you can get a chance to do a walking safari escorted by Maasai warriors.
The semi-arid land of Sanya and Elerai has an abundance of natural riches and is home to some of the largest elephants in East Africa.
After doing all the cultural activities as planned, you will drive back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
