5-Day Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Lake Manyara Safari

Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

Your journey begins with a morning pickup in Arusha. After a short drive, you’ll arrive at Lake Manyara National Park, a small but stunning park nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. You’ll enjoy a relaxed game drive, watching for elephants, giraffes, and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. The lake itself attracts thousands of flamingos and other water birds. After your safari, you’ll head to a nearby lodge in Mto wa Mbu or Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, you’ll set off for the world-famous Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro highlands on the way. Enjoy stunning views and optional stops for photos or a quick visit to a Maasai village. You’ll arrive in the Serengeti by afternoon and head straight into a game drive, exploring the central Seronera region, known for its rich wildlife and predator sightings. Spend the night in a comfortable tented camp within the park.

Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Today is a full day to explore the Serengeti, one of Africa’s greatest wildlife sanctuaries. You can choose to do morning and afternoon game drives, or take a full-day drive with a picnic lunch in the bush. Depending on the time of year, you may witness the Great Migration or large predator activity. The wide-open plains, acacia trees, and rich wildlife make this an unforgettable day. Return to your camp in the evening for dinner and relaxation under the stars.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast and a final game drive through the Serengeti, you’ll begin your journey back toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you’ll enjoy more wildlife sightings and dramatic scenery. You’ll arrive at a lodge near the Ngorongoro Crater rim by late afternoon. The cooler temperatures and stunning crater views make for a peaceful and scenic overnight stay.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After an early breakfast, you’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most biodiverse and wildlife-rich areas in Africa. This natural caldera is home to the Big Five, including a good chance of spotting black rhinos. Enjoy a half-day game drive with a picnic lunch on the crater floor. Afterward, you’ll ascend and drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon—concluding your incredible 5-day safari.
