7 DAYS LUXURY NORTH SERENGETI MIGRATION SAFARI (TARANGIRE, NGORONGORO & SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK)
On this 7-day safari, you will visit Tarangire whereby you will have an opportunity to see what the park has to offer starting from the giant baobab trees to the huge number of largest African Elephants inside Tarangire, Ngorongoro crater which is a UNESCO world heritage site and the best place to witness the endangered black rhino and Serengeti National Park which has the greatest concentration of wildlife as well as the great migration which is the major highlight for this tour whereby you will visit the north Serengeti and spend 2 nights following the great migration and river crossing. You will also have 1 night at the central Serengeti.
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Wild Candle African Safaris. You’ll then be transferred to your accommodation in Arusha where you’ll relax and prepare for the adventure that awaits.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your private driver-guide will pick you up for a 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its dense elephant population and towering baobab trees. During the dry season, this park hosts a mini migration of around 250,000 animals. With more than 550 species of birds, wild dogs, and rare antelopes like the gerenuk, Tarangire offers a rich game-viewing experience. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your exploration. Later in the afternoon, you’ll drive to your lodge near the park for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Tarangire / Karatu to Central Serengeti (via Ngorongoro)
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You’ll enjoy scenic views along the way, including a stop at Naabi Hill Gate, where you can take in the sweeping plains of the Serengeti. Your guide will serve a bush lunch en route. The Serengeti is home to the largest concentration of wildlife on Earth. You’ll enjoy game drives en route to your luxury tented lodge in the heart of the Serengeti, arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti (Kogatende) – Great Migration & Mara River Crossing
Today, you’ll journey north to Kogatende, the dramatic stage for the Great Migration. From July to October, over a million wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes cross the crocodile-infested Mara River in search of fresh grazing grounds. This spectacle is considered one of nature’s most awe-inspiring events. After lunch and extensive game viewing, you’ll head to your luxury lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Full Day in Northern Serengeti – Following the Migration
Spend a full day in the northern Serengeti following the herds and witnessing dramatic river crossings. You may spot predators such as crocodiles, lions, or leopards as they lie in wait near the Mara River. With your expert guide, you’ll maximize the chances of witnessing these breathtaking scenes. After a picnic lunch and full-day game drive, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Northern Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, depart from Northern Serengeti and head south toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The scenic drive takes you through vast landscapes, Maasai villages, and the edge of the Serengeti plains. Arrive in the late afternoon at your lodge located on the crater rim, where you’ll enjoy dinner and relax ahead of your crater exploration.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive – Return to Arusha
After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater—home to an estimated 30,000 animals, including the endangered black rhino. The crater offers exceptional chances to see the Big Five in one day, as well as an abundance of birdlife. Explore diverse habitats such as forests, swamps, and grasslands. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the scenic Ngoitoktok Hippo Pool before ascending the crater in the afternoon and returning to Arusha.
If you have a flight that evening, your driver will take you directly to the airport. Alternatively, we can arrange an extra night in Arusha upon request.
