Day 1: Arrival & Stone Town Exploration

Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Stone Town, where you’ll enjoy a traditional Zanzibari breakfast to kick off your cultural journey. After settling in, head out for a guided walking tour of Stone Town. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is filled with rich history, and you’ll visit iconic spots like the House of Wonders, Palace Museum, the Old Fort, and Freddie Mercury’s House. Wander through Darajani Market, where you’ll get a taste of local life, before heading to a nearby restaurant for a seafood dinner. End the day with a peaceful stroll through Forodhani Gardens, enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.

Day 2: Spice Tour & Jozani Forest

Start your day with a visit to a spice farm, where you’ll learn about Zanzibar’s famous spice trade. Here, you’ll have the chance to smell, taste, and touch spices like cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg. You’ll also learn how these spices are used in cooking and medicine. After the farm tour, enjoy a spice-themed lunch featuring local dishes. In the afternoon, take a short drive to Jozani Forest for a guided walk through the lush, tropical reserve. You’ll encounter the Red Colobus monkeys, an endangered species native to Zanzibar, as well as indigenous plants and wildlife. Return to Stone Town in the evening for some leisure time, either relaxing at your hotel or exploring the town’s local cafes and shops.

Day 3: Prison Island & Nungwi Beach

Today, set off for a boat trip to Prison Island, just off the coast of Stone Town. The island is home to historic ruins and giant tortoises that have lived there for over a century. You can interact with the tortoises and explore the island’s tranquil atmosphere. Afterward, enjoy some snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters surrounding the island. In the afternoon, head north to Nungwi Beach, known for its stunning white sand and clear waters. Here, you can relax on the beach, swim, or enjoy water activities like kayaking or snorkeling. The day ends with a delightful seafood dinner at one of Nungwi’s beachfront restaurants, offering panoramic sunset views.

Day 4: Mangapwani Slave Cave & Departure
