3-Day Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater Safari

Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Your safari begins with an early pickup from Arusha, followed by a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro highlands en route to Serengeti National Park. Along the way, you’ll pass through Maasai villages and enjoy a quick stop at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint. Entering the Serengeti by midday, you’ll jump right into a thrilling afternoon game drive across the vast plains. Keep your eyes peeled for lions, elephants, giraffes, and possibly the elusive leopard. In the evening, arrive at your tented camp in the central Serengeti for a warm meal and overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of nature.

Day 2: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Start the day with a sunrise game drive, one of the best times to spot predators before they retreat from the morning sun. After breakfast at camp, continue your game viewing as you exit Serengeti and travel back toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You’ll enjoy a scenic drive with wildlife along the way, and by late afternoon, arrive at your lodge near the crater rim. Relax, have dinner, and prepare for an early descent into the crater the next day.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After an early breakfast, you’ll descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a unique ecosystem teeming with wildlife. Known for its high density of animals, the crater is one of the few places you can spot all of the Big Five in one day. Enjoy a half-day game drive with a picnic lunch near a hippo pool, then ascend and begin the return journey to Arusha. You’ll arrive by late afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable 3-day safari.
