Day 1: Arrival in Arusha & Cultural Exploration
Upon arrival in Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit, you’ll be transferred to your hotel where you can enjoy a welcome breakfast. After settling in, you’ll embark on your first cultural experience, visiting local villages around Arusha. Here, you’ll learn about the Chaga people, their farming practices, and their way of life. The day will continue with a visit to the Cultural Heritage Centre in Arusha, where you’ll explore various art, crafts, and exhibits that showcase Tanzania’s diverse cultures. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Tanzanian dinner featuring dishes such as nyama choma (grilled meat) and ugali (maize porridge), before returning to your accommodation to rest for the adventures ahead.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater and Maasai Village Visit
After a hearty breakfast, you’ll depart early for a journey to Ngorongoro Crater. On the way, you’ll drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying the stunning scenery as you make your way to the rim of the crater. After shopping, you’ll have some free time to relax or explore more of Arusha’s local culture before preparing for your departure. Depending on your flight time, you’ll be transferred to either Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport for your onward journey.
